Hello my name is John Gooch, Fischer built our home a little over two years ago. For the first year we went without any grass as our house was finished in the winter. The way our back yard was graded caused all water to turn it into a giant swimming pool and there was a giant hole underneath our front porch. When they finally seeded our yard the contractors literally just came and threw seed down. When we threatened a civil suit over the yard contractors finally came and filled in the hole under my porch but refused to re-grade the yard. I eventually just dug giant unsightly ditches down the side of my yard for the water to run off. Despite several attempts at seeding ourselves there are still several mud pits throughout my front and back yard. I let this go.

Literally two weeks after moving in, the vent on our range hood over the stove went out. Fischer said to take it up with the manufacturer. We were never able to get this resolved. At 18 months our cheap dishwasher went out. I didn't even call Fischer as I know they would say to take it up with the manufacturer, I just bought a new one.

I bought a brand new house so that I would not have to deal with these kinds of problems in an older home this is not including the fact that if you plug a vacuum into the wrong outlet it throws the breaker, the nail pops, and general cheap materials used on our home. I let all of this go. Now My HVAC has gone out as well. Talked to the contract installers who said they knew these Goodman units were below builder standards before installation but they just get paid to install the part. I do not have 2 grand to fix this problem. I have four children ages 1,5,7 and 16, it is supposed to be in the nineties next week and I need my A.C. fixed.

Monetary Loss: $3000.

I wish I would have paid attention to this post. I have multiple neighbors that will say the same thing.

Fischer is now an assembly line home manufacturer using the cheapest materials possible. I am very concerned that the mechanics of my new home will not last long.
